How early did your puberty start? Certain children go through these changes sooner than others. Both parents’s genes can impact the timing of puberty, but if it starts very early, in most cases the father is at fault.
Early puberty happens before the age of eight for girls and before the age of nine for boys.
Hair loss
A common belief among men who experience hair loss is that this genetic condition is inherited from their mothers. However according to a study that was published in PLoS Genetics, this is a complete myth.
More than 55,000 men were the subject of the study. Hair loss with a male pattern has been associated with up to 287 distinct genetic signals.
On the maternal side of the X chromosome, there were only 40 of them. Surprisingly, DNA from both parents was used to disperse the remaining identifiers.
In fact, some genes linked to hair loss were linked to a higher risk of heart disease, according to research. So, if you or a loved one has hair loss, it may be time to see a doctor and stop blaming genes.
